People often ask me, “What’s the best month to get married?” I myself am a November bride, and I do really love that month. However, I have to say, that from a perspective of ease in planning, value, and availability…I have noticed that my February brides seem to hit the jackpot. The new Mrs. Katie Cross was no exception. She snuck this beautiful early February wedding in, just before a very rainy Spring season. Not only are there more available venues in this “off” month, but you may even find that vendors are little more flexible on pricing. I can recall for years back, that for whatever reason, my February brides always seem to luck out on a beautifully sunny “winter” day.
Katie is a regular blonde client of mine, so we had plenty of time to discuss the wedding styling strategy!! I had the pleasure of doing both hair and makeup on the big day. The hair was to be swept romantically up and away from her face, with a look of texture and romance. The low chignon (pronounced: shin-yon), gave endless class in her wedding photos! Makeup included warm tones on the eyes and of course LASHES! I absolutely love Katie, and am so thankful that I get to share my gift with a client that I now consider a friend, on her beautiful wedding day.
